One of the most important services that CCRC offers local residents as well as our corporate customers is onsite physical data destruction. It doesn’t matter if you drop-off your equipment at our warehouse, community event, or workplace event you will be able to see first hand your hard drive destroyed in front of your eyes. We have been doing community electronics recycling events for over 6 years and our onsite data destruction service has always been very popular with the community. 



What happens to my equipment once it gets dropped off with Computer Crusher Recycling?

All equipment that comes into our facility is first checked for hard drives or other data storage media. All drives and media are then pulled and begin the destruction/documentation process. The rest of the equipment is then weighed, categorized and assigned a lot number. This lot ID tracks the equipment as it moves through our facility. The equipment is then flagged for either potential reuse or end of life. Equipment that potentially can be reused is slated for further testing by our personnel. Reuse, whenever possible is always a more eco friendly process than recycling. Sometimes even though the equipment is un-repairable, some of the components within it can be reused. However some equipment has truly reached end of life. This equipment is then fully dismantled by hand. All components are then sorted and prepped for proper recycling. Whether it’s dismantling end of life equipment or testing components for reuse; you can be assured that your equipment is handled securely and responsibly.
